With a nod to the past, Netherlands-based artist Stefan Glerum creates some beautiful illustration and design work. His use of color and typography is especially nice. This style seems to reference the 20′s hand drawn posters and certainly works well with these recent projects. Check out more work by Stefan Glerum on his official website.
The work of Denmark illustrator Mad Berg tends to reference the great Cubism period of painting mixed with the vintage travels posters of the 30′s-50′s. The execution and color schemes are wonderful and we especially like the European Beer Festival poster, pictured above. You can view his portfolio for additional design work.
It’s another week of creative inspiration by illustrators and designers from around the world. As we do every Friday here, the weekly roundup highlights some of the great work being created in the arts community. Enjoy!

The portfolio of Scott Reifsnyder is filled with some impressive illustration and design work. His book based on the lyrics of a Johnny Cash song entitled “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry” is especially nice. He is currently employed at Headcase Design, which also offers a great variety of top-notch work.
