Portland based artist Matte Stephens loves modern design and is inspired by anything Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, George Nelson/Irving Harper and artists like Ben Shahn and Paul Klee. He has done illustration work for Herman Miller, American Express and The Boston Globe to name a few. Working mostly from paint and canvas, he creates wonderful retro-inspired cityscapes with colorful characters which sometime become limited edition prints. Check out his website for more information and additional artwork.
