The work of Mike and Doug Starn has always been as much about the process as it is the subject matter. The materials used to create their photographs have always worked to inform the subject matter and offer another way to engage their work. In person, the work can be massive in scale and worth seeking out. For local Atlanta readers, I believe the High Museum of Art have a few pieces in their collection.
