Founded in 2007, Colorcubic is the multidisciplinary creative studio of Michael John & Christy Lai in Portland, Oregon. They spend most of their hands-on time making and curating things they love for both client and studio projects. Portland based artist Matte Stephens loves modern design and is inspired by anything Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, George Nelson/Irving Harper and artists like Ben Shahn and Paul Klee. He has done illustration work for Herman Miller, American Express and The Boston Globe to name a few. Working mostly from paint and canvas, he creates wonderful retro-inspired cityscapes with colorful characters which sometime become limited edition prints.
